The Lady Dawgs opened the 2016-2017 season with a 9-0 victory over Natchez HS.

8th grader Jenna Long scored her first career varsity goal at the 8th minute on a through ball assisted by her junior forward Jaden Long. Jenna scored a second goal in the second half. Jaden scored an unassisted goal for a 2-0 lead just minutes later.

Senior midfielder Justice Walker scored twice and assisted two goals while Leelee Elam scored twice. Kenzie Whitehead scored on a free kick from 25 yards out and Tayler Smith scored after following up her on shot. The defense , led by Elise Mullins, Chyenne Higgs, Promise Warren, and Noel Parker did not allow a shot on goal.

 The Dawgs won 4-0 led by Senior forward Zane Davis who scored and assisted on a Thomas Slagle goal. Freshman midfielder Zach Nugent connected back post from 25 yards out . Senior midfielder, Snoop Verdin scored on a through ball from Junior defender Brant Mullins who led the defense to no shots and a shutout.
